As a practical tool for achieving the objectives of the strategy operates Dala Region Dalarna project Dala method.
Dala method is to find successful ways to get municipal and regional development to coincide in the joint initiative of Dalarna development and growth - to create a consensus on the key objectives and the roads there. It is about strategic planning and to achieve greater participation and representation of local interests in regional development.
During 2007 a feasibility study to clarify the content and appropriate structures for a long-term and deeper development in this direction. It is based on such findings, lessons learned and knowledge gained from this study that the continuation of Dala method has been shaped.
Dala method: Step 2 should contribute to enhancing the quality of both the municipal development strategies and in Dala strategy, as well as the ability to samhandling in concrete development initiatives between municipalities and the region. With Dala method activities due to Dala Strategy upgraded and concrete from the county's municipal development strategies, including those contained in the municipal and county organizations. Thus be Dala strategy simultaneously adds a clearer physical / spatial dimension.
A goal in itself that the project will result in a nationally applicable methodology handbook on municipalities that facilitators of regional development. The project is financed by the Growth Board by the knowledge and method development programs for sustainable regional growth as the work carries on.
